Hi
Just wanted opinions on this...Im thinking about getting a night light for my son in the hope it may help him nod back off when he wakes in the night Hmm
Usually he only wakes once and i bf him and he settles straight away. Ive tried not bf but it feels impossible and i give in!
Thanks

A night light could be a good idea. If he wakes and he can see he is safe in his cot/bed he might feel more secure and happy to fall back asleep.

We accidentally discovered that DS likes us to leave a bottle of water in his cot with him. He must have a sip when he gets thirsty/dry mouth like we adults do. One night we accidentally left one with him and he slept so well.

Definitely worth trying. They say a red light is best. We have one out of ikea that you can either have on one colour or cycling through them.

Thanks both, we have a grow egg at the mo which is always glowing yellow but it doesnt give off much light.

What is the name of the light from ikea? Might give that a go! My daughter has the flower light from ikea and she loves it. We switch it off at night but im sure it would help for her occassional wakings

I'd guess at 18m he is having more than enough food during the day so the night time feed is simply because he is thirsty. (Is it just a quick drink or a full feed?) Leave a cup of water in his cot, when he wakes just offer the water instead of boob. He may need you there for a couple of nights, or he may just have a quick drink and nod back off. I hope it's the later Smile

It's called Spoka but I can't see it on their website so maybe they've discontinued it.
