Hi guys, first time post, I have asked my sons father to take him 2 nights a week, is this too much as he is refusing to do so, I have asked him to take him 1 night during the week to help with childcare as I work full time and also 1 night at the weekend? Is this too much to ask?

Unfortunately you can't force him to parent his dc. . It will however come back to bite his arse when he has no real relationship with them. .
Just get on with your lives and don't let the dc think they are missing out. They aren't. Flakey dps are best left to their own selfish devices ime. .

You'll upset yourself trying to push this. Unfortunately I think you'll have to accept he's a twat and carry on with the one night.

The reason he is giving is because he has another child older than mine and he has to explain to him why he sees mine more... feel like stopping him see my son all together!

It’s not too much (I’d hate only seeing my kids once a week) but if you insist, you run the risk of him looking after ds badly so you take away the extra night. Sad that he won’t help but I’d leave it.

I'm sure he will have your son more if you tell him it will reduce his maintenance payments.
