Hi everyone
Before I could say I was new to the area but now it's been 10 months and I'm no closer to finding my own mummy friends or any for that matter... I've been to soft plays but again everyone's in close knit groups- although there's friendly chatter not much avails... am I the only one struggling to find their place. Maybe I need to get out more but not sure what else to do other than soft plays etc... any advice? It's been so hard moving and not knowing anyone! My other half already has friends here and obvs work mates... whereas I'm sahm currently I find it hard to meet people. Anyone feeling the same?

I think 10 months is pretty new still. Can you find an evening class that you could go to and leave your OH with the kids?

Yeah I guess that's a good idea @Johnlapsleyparlabane ! Tbh I was a gym fanatic before I had my little one but I feel like I've neglected myself totally. We all need that so called 'break' sometimes with out feeling bad about it. I feel like I need to go to a how to make friends class 😅!!

It can be so hard to find like-minded mums. I really struggled too, I wasn't even new to the area but none of my local friends had kids so had to start from scratch.

Have you tried any of the friendship apps like Momzie? I find that it's easier to connect that way, chat a little and then arrange playdates and get to know people. Worth trying.

Good luck

Honestly I didn't even know that existed! Yes it's a different world being a mum and thank you I will definately try it!! Not many of my friends back at home have kids either so when I visit it's similar situation, their all busy going out like I did b4 I was a mum haha bt they've supported me as much as they can though so I am thankful. Thanks again @mamaInternational
