Scary news at 20 week scan

Hi, I had my 20 week scan last Thursday and have now been referred to St Thomas's Evalin to have a foetal heart scan as the sonographer was not happy with what they could see of my babies heart. All 4 chambers are visible but a particular artery could not be seen. They did not say there was a definate defect it could just be a shadow but I'm worried sick. Has anyone else been through this? Been to St Thomas's had the scan? What do I expect. Me and my partner are so in the dark about it all.

I had this with my third. The sonographer said one of the valves was dilated and we got referred to consultant. It was completely out of the blue and no info apart from Google... Which obviously didn't help.

The consultant had better equipment, like probably at least ten years newer and found that everything was fine. But it was horrible waiting and I feel for you OP.
