What kind of holidays suit single parents with ND kids? I’m just back from my first holiday as a single parent with 2 ND girls who are almost 11 and to say it was stressful was an understatement. I need another holiday to recover. Holidays haven’t always been plain sailing even when my ex hubby was around but I’m seriously doubting I’ll be able to take them away again. It was only for 5 nights in a hotel but more like an apartment so they had their own space. But despite having plans in place for each of the days and prepping them in advance, one of my girls in particular
wanted a run down of our plans literally minute to minute. Which I couldn’t do. We went to
an adventure park where different activities were at different times. But these times had to be changed when the rain came on for example so the activity she thought we’d be doing at 10am was moved to 11am. And she just couldn’t handle it. Goodness knows how much money I wasted on uneaten food that other daughter thought she’d like but didn’t. Usually go self catering for this reason, but didn’t so that I’d great a break from cooking which I realise was a huge mistake. Are AI hols abroad the way to go? Plenty food, stay at the hotel and pool and not venture anywhere for
a week? Was nervous of flying by myself with them which is why I didn’t do that this year (plus the costs). Anyone help?
