ADHD meds for adult

Ive very recently been diagnosed with adhd and im going to be put on medication. Can anyone tell me how they've found having medication and the side effects/ how they feel on it

I’ve been on Elvanse for about a week, felt a bit spaced out for the first day then felt ok except my heart is going about 10-15bpm faster than before.
Not sure if I’m focusing on stuff better, but I’m definitely getting more done (might just be better motivated though).
I have a meds review in a couple of weeks so will ask if the fast pulse thing is an issue. It’s not mega fast (80bpm vs 65 usually at rest, 140 vs 125 when walking).
Other meds are available so I might try another next month to see if side effects are less.
