Anyone else affected by ICB restrictions for right to choose?

I was referred through right to choose for an adhd assessment and told by provider (RTN) wait time was 8-12 weeks. Today (14 weeks later) I’ve been told wait time is 8 months due to ICB essentially putting restrictions on how many referrals providers can do per month, due to pressure on NHS (I believe). Has anyone else been affected by this? I’m unsure whether to try and change right to choose provider (not knowing if this will make any difference) or go private and be unsure whether medication will be adopted under shared care at GP. Private also insanely expensive (£1,190) and I don’t really have the money to do it, but I’m trying to undertake a degree and struggling so much.

I'm sorry OP.

If it is ICB restrictions, other rtc providers may have similar waiting times.

You're right about medication.
