online body doubling

Hi. Recently I thought this should be a thing, it probably is, and looked it up. It is a thing. I found several sites that you can sign up to and book in, and someone somewhere will body double for you while you do the same for them. You can see each other, and you can talk at the beginning and end of the session. Has anyone tried this? Any thoughts, recommendations?

This can be useful. My sister sits (virtually) with a coach and she gets things done. I haven't sat in but she's told me it's very helpful. She'll make calls, send texts, work on the computer etc. I think they meet a couple times a week. She loves it and it's been very productive for her!

It’s something we suggested to DS with his studying. Have you tried it yet @comeondover?

I've tried it with a friend over Zoom. It does help, as long as you don't natter.

Yes they also work on executive function skills, priorities for the week and various things depending on what’s going on that week. Yes she pays for it. I guess that’s kind of the point. It’s not just someone hanging out with her. She’s paying for a service - a coach, who’s holding her accountable, working on skills and making sure she’s on track. She says she takes it more seriously BECAUSE she’s paying for it! :)
