Is anyone under Early Help? What exactly do they do? School want to make a referral but I’m apprehensive!

My understanding is that it is a voluntary service offering Family Support. If you google it in your county you should find more details.
you can choose to say no thanks to the school.
it could be a family support worker coming to your house to chat about what you’d like help with - offering practical ideas re parenting etc if things are tricky with the kids.

Thanks, one is moving to specialist after being part time for so long. It has a knock on effect on the other who refuses to go to school if the other isn’t allowed to go. This should all resolve when they start at the other school but I think that has triggered it. Just makes me nervous because of social services even though we have nothing to hide.
