Hello im just asking for some advice, my toddler who is 2 years is currently on waiting list to see a specialist, im almost certain he is autistic.

He does not respond to his name, doesnt follow instructions, doesnt speak, makes repetitive sounds and runs and paces alot.
He doesnt eat to many things either and currently the only food I can get him to eat is chips and chicken nuggets or crisps, I know this is unhealthy but im desperate.

My partner has mentioned that nursery may help with his development, learning and speech, I have previously worked in a nursery and could clearly see how children were neglected and shouted at for not listening. My son diesnt understand how to follow instructions and this would be major problem
My partner has given me the ultimatum and has said if I dont help him with nursery then its going to push us apart and he in the future would blame me for not helping my son and then resent me for this. Also his whole family are on his side about pushing him into being with children his own age.
I really have a bad feeling about leaving him there, could anyone help me decide on what I should do?

He is my absolute world!
but is very difficult daily and can be quite challenging.
