Did you find a way forward?

ADHDHDHDHD · 08/12/2025 23:32

Are you still taking it op
I'm just about to start on it

Could you be in ADHD wait mode @ADHDHDHDHD? I get that sometimes Flowers

I also warm up much slower in the mornings than NT seem to. It takes me at least a couple of hours after waking up before I can be productive or leave the house.

I’ve not heard of that. ‘Wait mode’ I’ll look into it thanks

DH is a bugger for “wait mode”. If he has an appointment at day 2pm, he’ll essentially be in power saving mode until then Smile

@TinyMouseTheatre - 'power saving mode' - i love as it is so me. If i have an appointment I have to make sure its first thing in the morning, as otherwise I have no chance of getting anything done before it. I also suffer bouts of extreme bed rot where I lay awake and anxious thinking about all of the things I needs to do but unable to move until i need to get up to pee 😅
I'm still a work in progress but these things that have worked for me...

  • I moved my alarm clock away from my bed so I have to get up.
  • I got a dog (a bit extreme i accept) who relies on me for a walk and her breakfast
  • As soon as i get up i do my household chores before my coffee (otherwise i get stuck and they don't get done)
  • when I'm feeling really overwhelmed, I list everything i need to do, and i mean everything break it down into baby steps and i then tackle the hardest ones first
  • I'm learning to try and be kind on myself, it may take me 4 hours to write, re-write and eventually respond to an email some days, but even on the days when i feel like I've done nothing - my list helps me see that i always achieve something - even if its just making my bed
Hope this helps
