Had anyone with adhd ever done scuba diving?
im doing a week of it and have had to stop my meds for it and the effect of diving is amazing.
it is almost 70% of the benefits of my adhd meds - no noise, focus on task ahead, no mind drifting- it’s amazing!
I can’t worry or over think under water

the rest of the day has been interesting and chaotic but it’s been amazing to be off them for the week (having a normal appetite has been nice also)

Oh how interesting. I have ADHD and have been scuba diving. I did my PADI in Zanzibar. There was no electricity and I remember studying by oil lamp at night.

I loved it. I love swimmingas its mindful - no one can interrupt you underwater. I find it very regulating. And with scuba there's all the fun of spotting fish!

I can't do scuba anymore as I have a lung condition, but snorkeling is also fun.

If you like scuba for the reasons you describe you would probably love weight lifting too - hard to be distracted when lifting heavy weights! For me I would say that's the closest thing to meds. Happy holidays!
