Hi I've never claimed anything before. Its been suggested I could get PIP as I have panic disorder and ADHD.
I've had this long term and never thought about claiming.
My assessment letter lists my difficulty with colleagues, eating and being motivated to eat.
I struggle with public transport and crowds of people.
I can't socialise.
I do work though.
Anyone else like me made a successful claim.?
I'm definitely not going to exaggerate anything.
Any advice TIA.

I cant say if you could or not (its very complex). Have a look at the descriptors and see where you fit. It is a real struggle.

I have care needs, I cant work (am ill health retired so not just me saying that) however I dont have ongoing proof (everyone has discharged me once diagnosed). I have cfs, ptsd, depression, anxiety, post sepsis complications, autism, asthma, Post hepatic neuralgia, ibs, other gastric issues, the cfs means i spend most of my day in bed and have a very limited life but pip keep reducing my claims and I dont have the energy to fight. Ive just had another review letter (the process will probably be a year long) and they'll reduce my award and then review in 3 years (on repeat).
So go in with your eyes open, be honest, show proof where possible and realise its a roller coaster ride (which in all honestly i wouldn't go through if i didn't need to).
Definitely do some reading around how they apply the descriptors (its about you safely, repeatedly carrying out tasks and how much support you need).
Also who knows next year what will be happening with all the changes the government are undertaking.
