Counsellor trying to do something illegal?

Don’t comment if you don’t know about auditory processing disorders.
I have been accepted for a set of counselling sessions. I requested the sessions to be over email and explained why - because of my processing disorder. We did this for the initial session. I have an auditory processing disorder and can do a phone call for a few minutes and be ok but will malfunction if it’s longer than that.
the counsellor has now all of a sudden said
the sessions need to be on a phone call or video call and is saying I can have the camera off it that makes it more comfortable for me. I don’t know if that’s legal and if she’s going to be more trouble than she’s worth

I don’t know if it’s illegal but it doesn’t sound as though it’s working for you.

If you’ve paid for the Counselling it might be worth finding a different Counsellor and if you e not paid and it’s free, could you ask for a different Counsellor? Sometimes you need to try a couple before you get one who truly understands you.

You need to email then back and explain why it won't work for you and request email sessions.
