I have been recently diagnosed with ADHD at the grand old age of 49. I've been prescribed Elvanse, but I'm scared about taking it because of potential side effects and I wondered what other MNers have found? I know it's all individual but I keep putting off starting them because although I really hope they work, I'm not really sure what I should a) expect to be different in a good way or b) anticipate they might have negative impacts on.
I know they might make sleeping a bit tricky for example and I can cope with that I think but what else might they do? Might I have palpitations? Will they make me feel anxious? I'm really worried they might make it difficult for me to work and look after my children (single parent).
Can you share your experiences, good and bad?
