A year ago my psychiatrist (not an ADHD specialist) advised me to seek an assessment so I printed off Right to Chose forms from a company called ADHD360. The forms clearly mention the company on all pages and at the bottom of the page they state their postal address and email.
I sent the completed forms to my GP and it clearly shows on my online patient portal that it was date stamped by the GP for approval on 1st May 2024.
I am aware the waiting times for rtc are long so have been patiently waiting all these months but as it has been 9 months I thought I'd ring Adhd360 to get an idea of current waiting times. I rang them last week to find they have never received the referral. Not a problem according to them because if my GP surgery sends them the original forms with proof of date they can backdate everything.
Spoke to a secretary at the surgery who assured me she had resent the referral again so all good?
I have just double checked with ADHD360 only to find they are only accepting the referral as from last week because according to them, the original referral had been emailed (by my surgery) to a different company called Psychiatry UK. No idea why this is the case because nowhere on the form does it mention this other company, it was printed from ADHD360's website. I have tried to talk to a secretary from the surgery but they are busy, someone will call me this week, apparently.
Just spoke to this other company, Psychiatry UK and they have not received anything from anyone (didn't expect that would be the case tbh).
So now I'm in limboland and it looks as though I'm to wait a further 8 months as this the waiting time for new referrals.
I'm so disappointed. What should I do? Complain? But who has made the mistake as no-one is owning up.
