Shared care dilema

Due to the pressures on our local CAMHS, and been told we would have a 4-5year wait before my daughter would be offered an appointment to discuss a possible ADHD Assessment we decided to go private. Thorough assessments were completed which did confirm our suspicions. Treatment options were discussed and we opted for a trial of an 8hr slow release medication to assist while our daughter was at school. We have been paying for 12 months to get her private prescriptions. Our daughter has flourished since starting on medication and it has been wonderful to see her gain in confidence and become resilient.
The issue we now encounter is that our GP have refused to accept the request for shared care despite it been clearly documented that the private psychiatrist will continue to monitor and review every 6 months.
I have written a letter of complaint to the GP, however they are upholding there response.
Does anybody have any advice on challenging a similar decision. I am literally beside myself any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear this :( no advice but you could try on an adhd facebook group as I know shared care is discussed a fair bit on there

I was late diagnosed last year at 29 and also went private after years of fighting the NHS. They also refused my shared care and they are refusing it all over Scotland now. They're even taking it off people who have had it for years!
