Child Assessment waiting times

Hi I'm not sure where to put this as I think this thred is for autistic adults ?

In May my dd will have been on the list for 3 years.

I've chased it up. So far the replies have been...

•Yes we have received your referral
•Who diagnosed her and when (this shocked me because why would i need an assessment if she had had a diagnosis)
• I can assure you she is in the list
• They say it's waiting in the grading queue.
• as you have waited so long I'll check this
• she is still on the list and she will be checked to see if she fits the assessment requirements

So she might not even be assessed?? Not once was I told she might not be.

I waited 2 years for my assessments. 5 years ago. I thought that was long.

As soon as I had an inkling dd might be I saw the doctor and school both agreed and that's why they agreed to the referral.

This was when she was in y5. Naively I thought it wouldn't be so long for children and I wanted to know either way before she started secondary school.

Has anyone waited 4/5/6 years?

Thanks.
