I got approved for funding from the ILF for something that I needed and applied for over half a year ago. I got help to apply to the fund, and it took 2 months working with someone once a week until it could be sent off. I applied for it using an email address I had used for years. Between then and now, I had to stop using the email address because I got scammed by someone pretending to be my bank and ''confirmed'' the email address linked to the bank account to the scammer. It might be relevant to mention that since applying and now, I have received 14,000 spam emails into that inbox, and barely any in the spam.
I forgot I applied to the fund because it had been so long. It only came to mind recently so I searched and I got approved on the 6th of December, but they needed more information before it could be arranged. A week ago, I got another email that reads they've declined because they didn't hear back with the information they requested and I need to go through a whole process where it seems they can only overturn the decision to decline if they have been unfair. I have tried copying in my social worker and explaining why I didn't reply but I don't know if I've lost out on the funding now.
