I'd like to ask my GP to refer me for an autism assessment/diagnosis and wondered if anyone could recommend a clinic/service I should ask for please? I live on the outskirts of west London but can travel.

I'm 42, female, and really struggling with life and importantly romantic relationships. I've realised I have alexithymia. Another relationship down the drain I finally want to address my issues. Getting sober (self medicating for a long time) has made everything 'worse'. I'm exhausted from over thinking and analysing and 'trying' (masking?). My sibling (also an addict) has just been diagnosed with ADHD too which has given me a kick to sort things out. Grateful for any pointers. Thank you.

Autism 360 is worth a look. They can also do an online consultation.

I'm in the East of England and went with Clinical Partners. All online so no travelling. I will say I had a good experience from start to finish, I would definitely recommend Smile
