Anyone here has done ADHD therapy/coaching? Tips and recommendations?

Just that.

Struggling lately with lots of problems. Went online and got in touch with one therapist. But the vibe of the initial 30 minutes chat doesn't inspire me to trust it can help in any substantial way.

Anyone has done this? Any tips for finding the right therapist and what to expect please? Thank you!

Sorry, I don't have experience. But I would be wary because the term isn't protected at all so anybody can call themselves an ADHD coach :( I would maybe look for someone who has a social media presence so you can get a sense of their understanding and the usefulness of their advice. For example I like the ADHD Adults Podcast and one of the hosts on there does coaching, I feel like he would do a good job.

Getting the right fit is important and if it doesn't feel right then it probably isn't. Ask about their qualifications and experience and how they work.

ADHD UK has a directory of coaches. Genius Within also has a directory.

I've used Linda Fox Adult ADHD Coach before and I can recommend her.

I also read a few books -Smart But Scattered Guide to Success for Adults, Leanne Maskell A-Z, How to ADHD - are all helpful.
