Where did you get your private autism assessment done?

I'm looking at various private autism assessment providers, including face to face ones near me and online.

For a private assessment locally proces are around £1200/1500 but I have come across "Harley Psychiatrist" who are "only" charging £685 and carry out the assessment online. They also have availability within a few weeks.

I suppose I'm suspicious that it seems so much cheaper than other assessments.
Has anyone had any experience with them or could recommend another online provider?

We did a face to face assessment, I wasn't sure about virtual. Our assessment was around £2200, the one you have found does sound very cheap. Check the report is detailed enough and will be accepted by school.

Yes, assessment is for me. Obviously I want to get an accurate answer to whether im autistic or not, but I am a self-employed adult so don't have any expectations of having to present a report to anyone.

I definitely recommend the CAN Centre in New Malden https://www.cancentre.co.uk/ for those in Surrey or South West London. The team was kind, understanding, and made the whole assessment process feel safe and supportive. I was able to be assessed for ADHD and Autism in parallel and they truly listened and took the time to see the full picture. The report was clear, thorough, and very helpful.
