Don't Know how to Live Happily

I was diagnosed as autistic a few years ago in my 40s. All my life I've struggled to make friends, and just deal with day to day problems. I've never kept a job for more than a year and haven't worked for almost 10 years.

I'm so tired of trying to make my life different and failing. Does anyone feel like this? How do you get through it all the time?

I don't bother with friends, bar one who has pointed ears. This makes a huge difference to the levels of social anxiety I have and reduces the time I spend masking.
