Would a Mum with Dyspraxia be eligible for this forum? I have Dyspraxia but can’t work out where it fits

Hello, I was diagnosed with dyspraxia 11 years before my autism diagnosis. Welcome.

Hi there does this sound like dyspraxia.
Clumsy bang into stuff and get bruised
No sense of direction
Run in a funny way
Walk towards others and go into different direction to avoid them and end up apologising
Poor at PE never picked for ball games at school.
Difficulty learning new tasks.
Described like a cow with a gun by DM.
Messy handwriting
Cannot dance.
Ages to learn to drive.
In awaiting ADHD assessment and this occurred to me.
I'm in my 50s

That sounds like Dyspraxia. A lot of difficulties with motor skills by the sound of it. There’s always a chance they are symptoms of something else but professionals will do tests to rule other conditions out usually as well as test for Dyspraxia in some cases. In other cases they just test for Dyspraxia

It also sounds like problems with Spatial awareness. Intelligent but slow to learn new tasks maybe because of slow processing skills or motor skills. It is highly likely you have Dyspraxia but I’m not a professional, I wouldn’t be surprised.if a professional who assessed you said they believe you have Dyspraxia

Thank you for the replies.
It only occurred to me recently.
Learning new stuff seems harder than it does for anyone else.
