Lions Mane - anxiety and focus

Hi all,

I have a 9 year old who is on the waiting list for an AdHD diagnosis, over the past year she's been feeling very anxious about school and having all kinds or irrational worries about random stuff.

This week she started having panic attacks, literally nothing I did could calm her down and very quickly she would be sick.

I spoke to the doctor and CAHMs have opened a case for her. But the waiting list as you know for an adhd appointment is almost 18 months away. I can't wait that long.

I got in touch with my local independent health store and explained my DD's problem. She straight away directed me to Lions mane powder. We took a 1/4 of a teaspoon and it's almost miraculous the difference in my DD. It works pretty much straight away and she's like a different person afterwards. Her anxiety subsides and she actually can focus. Yesterday she actually sat for long periods of time colouring in beautifully, this is something she has NEVER done. I can now have a two way conversation with her rather than her just talking at me. So far I've seen no side effects. It's an extract from a mushroom and natural which I like.

I wanted to share because for me this is a huge breakthrough, I'm hopefully we will be able to avoid modern day ADHD medicine and opt for herbal medicine instead.

Can anyone else recommend anything which helps quiet/relax the brain?

x

This is really good to know. I've been taking Lion's Mane myself (for perimenopausal brain fog) and I hadn't thought about giving to my son (currently waiting for assessment). I'm on day 2 of my second brand, not seeing any effects from the first but I've read so many good reviews that I'm still positive. But I note you've got a powdered form (mine is capsules which my son will struggle to swallow). If permitted here, are you able to share which Brand you're using? He struggles with focus and concentration and impulsivity.

Yes I course, the brand is Kiki health and it's organic powder.

We are now on day 4 and the change has been nothing short of phenomenal. My DD is pretty much like a child without ADHD. I give her about a quarter teaspoon before school and just under before bed. This combined works beautifully for her.

I love the fact it's organic, made from a super food rather than a chemical.

Research says it re-builds brain cells. It's an amazing mushroom.

I don't work for this company by the way. This is just the one I got given from my health food store out of desperation and it worked.

I keep telling people about it because I think it'll help so many poor kids with ADHD and anxiety.
