PIP assessment as appointee today

and I feel like I was pushed through a wringer. I am officially dd 21 appointee with DWP but on the phone assessment IAS asked to speak to dd despite the current SALT report detailing the situational mutism. I stated I am the appointee, you don't need dd's consent as you have DWP's consent to speak to me.
She then brought out the good old "safeguarding" as dd not confirming she was present was a safeguarding concern. Having run the gauntlet with schools and LA that doesn't bother me anyway so I asked her to detail what safeguarding concerns she had (she couldn't tell me) and gave her social care's number Grin.
She seemed to give in then but it was two and a half hours and I hate detailing all the difficulties. Got off the phone had a little cry and carried on. Eight more weeks of worrying I suppose.
