Advice on how to support a ND partner/loved one through a loss

Just looking for thoughts on how best to support someone (adult) through a family loss. Im aware i may need to take a different approach so any advice would be welcome.

There's a good book called If there's Anything I can Do which is aimed at friends of widows. Not ND as such but helpful.

All I would say is loss runs very deep. Look after you first as it can be hard when enthusiasm and energy wanes, and one is very vulnerable in the initial stages of grief.
