Concerta XL supply issues

Am posting for DH although I am also ND

There is none to be had in our area, he's saving it for when he really needs to be functional but he's struggling.

His private clinic are unresponsive but I guess they have tons of people all saying the same thing.

When he does finally get hold of them can they just prescribe a different methylphenidate? Or are they all in short supply?

I have my follow-up with my psychiatrist on Mon for next prescription but looks like there's no chance of me being able to get my usual Concerta XL. That's not good as I will run out very soon. I definitely have sympathies with your DH.

Have you tried the boots pharmacy online stock checker?

Could he changed to another extended release Methylphenidate?

He's checking the Boots online checker but he had a wild goose chase the other week to a Boots 10 miles away that either didn't have it or it had gone out while he was getting there.

He's saving his remaining tablets for the 2-3 times a week he needs to adult and not run his mouth...

If he hasn't already, make sure his prescription is for generic methylphenidate rather than Concerta. That way he has a better chance of getting some.

My psychiatrist gave me a generic methylphenidate prescription because of the Concerta shortage and I was able to collect it from the Boots near my office tonight (I checked the online stock this morning).
