Can concentrating give you a headache?

My son is 11 and diagnosed with ADHD and ASD we have an appointment with the paediatrician tomorrow and thinking what to discuss (first appointment in 18m)

One thing I'm thinking he complains of headaches when he has to concentrate, so any school work. Could this be ADHD related? He isn't medicated, and I'm wondering if ADHD medication would help the concentration and therefore the headaches. I would appreciate any responses / opinions.

Thanks

Yes it absolutely can, but I'd also get his eyesight checked.

Thank you for your reply. The doctor agreed that medication (mediknet xl) could help with concentration and in turn headaches, so has prescribed it and we will see how it goes.

Good call on the eye test he does already wear glasses and gets a regular check up, but agree that could have been a cause.

It can also be dehydration.

My ds is suffering with a lot of headaches too. Noise is definitely a trigger for him, as well as anticipatory stress.
