NC for this.
In case anyone finds this useful, as I was always looking out for these types of posts before diagnosis. Diagnosed with severe inattentive ADHD, have been in a depression cycle for almost a year, executive function non existent. I hope this is helpful, only halfway through day 2 right now but will keep adding if useful 🙂 prescribed 18mg Concerta with 5mg Methylphenidate generic too up if needed.
Day 1
Effects felt within 30 minutes. Felt much calmer but also more focussed and patient. Could concentrate on my kids and tasks didn’t seem overwhelming. Effects tapered after a couple of hours and felt very fatigued after 4 hours. No effect on appetite, quite the opposite! No hugely negative crash but felt so tired, took a top up at 3.30 and within 20 minutes the positive effects were back. No negative self talk or intrusive thoughts, manageable thought patterns. No overwhelm or worry. No issues at all with sleep.
Day 2
Took tablet at 7am with breakfast and went back to bed for a couple of hours. Woke up feeling very refreshed which is unusual for me. At around 11am I did have a small coffee as the crash hit around lunchtime yesterday. Still feeling productive and positive. Very hungry constantly so definitely not experiencing appetite issues! Executive function greatly improved, not at all overwhelmed by anything I need to do.
