Holiday abroad is it doable?

We have one DS 6 currently awaiting diagnoses for ASD. We would love to try a holiday to Spain next year with him but is this doable given the following issues? And if you think it is please can you recommend somewhere to me?

  1. Very restrictive eater. Not likely to eat in a restaurant So I'm thinking self catering but the majority of rooms within hotels don't appear to have ovens which will rule out about half of what he will eat.
  1. Very sensitive to music so worried about kids clubs and the risk that we will be stuck in our room to avoid noise on an evening.

Other than above he loves swimming and the beach and is excited to travel. Any advice appreciated!

I don't have much experience with ASD but have done a few holidays with young kids.

Definately do-able. If a kitchen is a necessity and you dont want the risk of kids club noise then how about a villa, an airbnb or a chalet on a holiday park (Europe has some fab parks) and just prioritise location so it's near the beach and has a pool.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes I was thinking I will just need to avoid the all inclusive type holidays which I'm fine with as they're not really my cup of tea either!

Have you any recommendations of places you've been that are good for family holidays?
