Just had 17 year old asd result. Any tips grateful for

My 17 yo has had her assessment report and she meet criteria for ASD (also adhd)

We are both happy she finally has some answers.

She sat her GCSEs and gained decent results. But had anxiety around school and some refusal. Burnout out in sixth form by xmas and has not gone back.

She want to try a collage course sept 2024 and she looking for part
Time work until then.

What can I do to support her. Currently we are stepping back and low demands Can we do more?

Is it worth applying for pip

She is still on register at school. Should I de register her

are you neurodiverse? If not I suggest you post in special needs teenagers and young adults, as this forum is purely for those who are neurodiverse. Not for people with neurodiverse children.

It’s worth applying for PIP…it’s more likely she’ll be awarded it because you can say you’re supporting her. Find someone to help you with the form though.
