Elvanse Shortage

Has anyone had an issue with getting their elvanse prescription due to supply issues? I've had issues for the past 3/4 months getting my script on time and the issue is getting progressively worse.

I'm having to pick up one months medication in 3 goes as a result.

I'm seeing a few people having this issue but not enough noise about this. who do we complain to? I can't cope without the meds. there has to be a shortage issue

Heya! I actually managed to get some today. Someone on reddit on r/ADHDUK has made a brilliant map checker so you can check the stock across the country rather than aimlessly type in different postcodes. this is the link: pharmacystockchecker.com

I checked the map this morning and there seemed to be loads in. Best bet is to get an EPS code and call a pharmacy that has it in stock and ask them to reserve it with this code so you don't waste a journey (incase someone gets there before you do).

My script is for NHS Scotland. I’m in an English city for work on Friday and there is some there - does anyone know if they will honour it?

I just managed to get a prescription filled for the first time since September, at a local independent pharmacy very near me in SE London.

I did ask my GP to change my Elvanse 70mg prescription to Elvanse Adult 70mg, which is what I've managed to get today. But I regret not asking for the prescription to be made out to the generic name instead, i.e. lisdexamfetamine 70mg, as that would mean I could get either regular or Adult.

I also saw that Boots map that was posted on Reddit and I love that someone has made it but just FYI, the two branches which it said had my medication were both out of stock (I understand the reason Boots took these meds off their own stock checker was because it was giving consumers inaccurate info, so it's not really a surprise).

I've just picked mine up! Woohoo!

I managed to get a prescription for 50mg last week (in Sussex). I have to say that it isn’t working for me at all, very little effect. It’s making me question if there are counterfeit meds in the supply chain tbh. Has anyone else had that experience? I took the last Elvanse tablet from my old bottle about 10 days ago and that was fine. Now it’s like I’m not taking any!

Is anybody in dire need that could take half their normal dose until shortage has ended?

Are you due on? I sometimes think I have had a few days of placebos and question the world and then I come on!!

@bjjgirl that’s a really good point re hormones and their effect upon the meds (as well as upon ADHD). I’m 56 and post menopausal so it’s not precisely that for me though I have had surgical treatment for a post meno hormone imbalance problem which has caused me a few difficulties so it’s possible it’s had an outcome for the Elvanse too.

I noticed the pharmacy checker website isn’t working and there’s a message about donating money to the website creator.
Any news on Elvanse?
