Anyone else struggle with teeth brushing?

I do brush my teeth pretty much everyday. But I find it a real struggle. It’s not a sensory thing, I don’t think. I just sort of put it off and have to force myself. And I did it strangely boring. That’s so weird isn’t it.

Logically I know it is only 2 mins, I have to do it, but it’s so hard! I actually find a manual toothbrush somehow easier as perhaps I feel I am “doing” something, as opposed to just moving my electric one around.

Just wanted to share in a place where others might get it 😁

I find it boring too so now I either read the news on my phone while brushing, or I use my Oral B app which tracks how well and where I'm brushing my teeth and scores my efforts which works well as I'm very target driven. 😜

Ooh I like the idea of competition with myself!

Ha ha try it! I have ADHD so the competition definitely works for me. It's the app for Oral for their io toothbrushes (I have the io9) that does 3D tracking and scores you. I get very annoyed when it deducts points for too much pressure being applied but it certainly distracts me from being bored!

I usually manage once a day, unless it's a bad day. I get a mental block. My dentist gets it though, and has prescribed me high fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash.
