Adhd medication for ds that worked for impulsiveness

ds11 was diagnosed with Adhd at the beginning of the year. Always struggled with impulsiveness and anger but as he entered puberty it’s even worse with now threats of self harming when he can’t handle the rage. we have decided to try medication in the hope of it suppressing the rage side of things. he is able to focus at school and is also slightly on the spectrum so it’s really the impulsiveness and anger that we have issue with it. What meds is your child on for similar traits of ADHD?
