ADHD/Autism Diagnosis for a Parent

I'm just curious, do you have an assessment with a social worker or support worker if you're diagnosed as a parent? If so, do you have regular catch ups?

I have the same questions with assessment for a child too.

Not that it matters, I just want to prepare myself for anything, to stop myself from feeling like it's something I did/didn't do as a parent but rather a process for support.

Nope! I got my diagnosis and script and away I went. You may see the psych periodically though.

Nope, nothing.

They knew I had two children, as they also did when my husband got his, one was less than a year old at the time.

I can't imagine the poor social workers being told they have this added to their overworked plates! I imagine if you asked for help it may be provided, but it certainly isn't offered.
