QB test - NHS diagnosis first appointment

Hi, I was diagnosed privately with ADHD whilst on the waiting list (7 years now!) for an NHS diagnosis.

I'm not entirely sure why - I think maybe as the first one was done via Zoom. Or the shared care aspect is too pricey for me.

Anyway, I kind of prefer the fact that this one will use a QB test but I'm also a little worried. The reason I went so long before thinking I had it was that I've always performed well at tests in school/uni as they're high-pressure. (The less we take about coursework the better!)

Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm kind of worried about a "computer says no approach". I mean if I don't have it, fine, though then I will descend into a "So I'm just a lazy, "shit at life" person"!!

And I usually fidget and play with my hair but I'm now conscious of not trying to do that to get a diagnosis and I'm massively overthinking it so I'm worried I won't be natural.

Aaaaah!

It's not what you think so don't worry! You'll have a weird knob like device strapped to your head and you have to focus on clicking the mouse at the right times. The device measures how much you move, when you lose focus etc. You end up trying so hard to concentrate that you lose focus.

I really didn't think I had the hyperactive bit, but this showed that I did.

I'm so sorry, in typical fashion I didn't see the notification (Gmail loves to lump social into the non-important box!)

I've just had a phone call anyway to change the appointment time and they said I'm seeing the psychiatrist, not the nurse as they set out the leaflet. And that not all of them believe in the QB test. I suppose we'll see what they come back with.
