Experiences with lions mane?

If you have tried lions mane for ADHD, how did you get on?

I don't want to take meds, but I have a particular thing that I'd like to be more focused for. I spend about 2 hours per day doing this thing. It is a creative thing, so I don't want to dampen that side of it, but I also want to stop my brain going off on walkabout as it is holding me back.

The thing is piano - don't want to be one of those annoying posters who are really secretive about their activities for no reason.

I've got a 'latte' powder, which is 500mg per teaspoon. I'm a bit scared of it. I drink 3-4 coffees every morning, which usually gives me enough oomph to do a few things. Will lions mane plus coffee make me too wacky? I suspect I am overthinking, but you know, that's what I do...

I tried it today and I'm not sure that it made any difference. I think it gave me a lift but didn't noticeably improve my focus. I still found myself thinking about the apprentice while practising piano! I kept it separate from coffee.

I started taking it recently, the same latte thing you've got. Apparently it takes about 3 months of taking it every day to fully get the benefits. I've managed about two months so far, and while I don't feel any magic effects or anything, I did recently notice that after drinking it I sat down and did at least two hours of a task without really trying. I am taking ADHD medication as well so it's hard to pin down exactly what's working, but I've read a lot of good things about lions mane so I shall continue.

DD18 is taking it, in capsule form, 2 x per day 30 minutes before she eats. She's currently studying for her A-Levels and the difference in her is phenomenal. She also takes various other supplements, all of which we've introduced gradually to record any side effects / benefits etc. For concentration and focus, Lions Mane is a must for her.

Can I ask if anyone has noticed their boredom rising since taking Lion's Main?
I've been surching the web and it does seem to reduce dopamine levels ...so ...maybe that explains why i'm feeling more bored and in the need to DO something?
I've been feeling stressed and depressed because of an unhealthy relationship mainly, which I can't get out of as quickly as I would like... (or maybe it's the waking up and smelling the coffee everywhere - in whole) and that has led to that feeling of not wanting to do anything - very unmotivated etc (you know, down). But now it is starting to feel like i'm calmer but bored. I've been taking the supplement pill version for about a week now. I also seem to be the good kind of tired more (with better night sleeps)
It's a good thing really, just need to find what it is I want to do (next to the feeling that I need to LIVE - been feeling locked up - which isn't a very exact thought haha)

Anyway, thanks for whoever is here and replying <3
