Thank you; indeed it is.

I'll be watching and I've also set it to record in case it's worth watching back. Looking forward to it. My Mum was the one who alerted me to this a few days ago. This is particularly comforting to me as she's not one for 'indulging me' in my Autism diagnosis (diagnosed late in life at 51) I think it took her a while to come round to the fact as I think she knows she might be Autistic herself.

I want to be able to watch this but nervous about what traits I may see.

BlankTimes · 15/02/2023 07:07

I watched it with my adult autistic dd and we both found it informative and so much better than we'd expected.

Have some tissues to hand.

There's a thread about it on the telly addicts board too

Thought it was very sensitively done and conveyed a lot in an hour’s TV. Lovely to see some female autistic representation, too. I’m really hoping to see some older women in the next few episodes, unless the people introduced in the first episode will be followed through?

Good reminder thank you. I will be watching with interest..

Are there are other documentaries? I think Christine mcguiness did one, but I'm not sure

WhisperingAutistic · 17/02/2023 12:43

I think the programme was really well put together.
It made me cry, especially hearing from Murray.
I'm looking forward to the next one. Does anyone know when it's on?

NannyGythaOgg · 17/02/2023 20:25

Radio 2 This morning. Chris Packham talking to Ken Bruce. (Just after 11 I think). The documentary was referred to and a very affirming action from Murray towards Chris. Very very touching and real

I've just watched both episodes back to back and it really moved me. My dd is awaiting diagnosis (18 months in) but this really resonated with me. I'm hoping it will make me more understanding and a better mum. I have so much respect for all who participated and told their unique stories, I feel it demonstrated the varying spectrum well. I hope the series is extended Smile and reaches a wide audience.

Murray made me so bloody happy. That really pinged at my heartstrings.

Missed recording tonight's from the start so so watch on I player. Seen a short clip and it looked really interesting. He's got some great diversity in his chosen subjects.

Look forward to the second one.

The mcguiness household one is also on I player. Anyone watched?
