ADHD diagnostic reports - how detailed are they?

I’m looking into a private ADHD diagnosis. I am interested to know how detailed the reports are, is it a brief ‘in my professional opinion this person has ADHD’ or do they go into detail about why they have come to that conclusion, with a detailed formulation etc?

Does anyone know? Or can share their experience please.

My report was fairly detailed. I haven’t read it in a while though, but it wasn’t just “in my opinion this person has ADHD”.

Thank you

You can look up the diagnostic criteria, the report should detail how you fit those, including giving supportive evidence which is usually recalled memories or examples of how you function now.

Mine was many pages long detailing which elements of what I said from our meeting met the criteria eg Anything demonstrated difficulty focusing on the question asked, or Anything disclosed a history of xyz which would meet the criteria of poor impulse control blah blah. I feel very "seen" by my report.

Was yours with a private provider?
