Head full of music/voices/noise

Tonight, after a busy day at work with many different conversations and interactions, my head is like a badly tuned radio full of fragments of music, voices having conversations and general cacophony, almost echoes of the day but not really.

This happens quite a lot. I sometimes find I can't fall asleep because of the chattering voices and have to tell them out loud to be quiet 😂

It's not "heating voices" in that sense, just weird echoes like I said.

Does anyone else have this?

Yes. It's like my brain hangs onto a noisy day and replays it over and over.

I try to limit my exposure to an overload of noise, movement, smells etc to manage the aftermath. If I know I have to go somewhere 'challenging' I factor in downtime for afterwards.

I have learnt to prioritise quiet time and to keep my life, in general, as calm as possible. I'm old, so I've had decades of learning and adopting coping strategies😁

Yes, my brain is a kaleidoscope on speed half the time. The latest song of the week will be playing in there along with two other songs mixed together, conversations I'd like to have with people, daydreams and all the things I need to do along with conversations I've had and wish I'd had better. It doesn't shut off and being on phone is bad because that just adds to it but I feel like my brain needs the constant stimulation of input. I might change my name to Number 5 from
short circuit. Input! More input!

I call that my introvert hangover. I think it’s because I take in a huge amount of info that normal people filter out. And then the brain goes into processing overtime

Yes can relate. Sometimes if I hear a song I love it replays in my head for days!

Can be frustrating to say the least as it interferes with my thought processes listening to bloody music!

So reassuring to hear that others have this too.

Right now I have that Mike Oldfield Christmas tune playing very loudly 😂

Constantly. As I have tinnitus, I do need constant background noise which doesn't help
