Other implications of ADHD

Evening MN. We've always considered that my DH likely has ADHD, but the more I read up on it, the more I think I may have it too.

As I'm starting to recognise this, I'm getting more and more frustrated with my inability to finish anything, the fact that I keep getting distracted at work and the messy environment that I live in (which I find to be overwhelming and impossible to escape). I honestly feel that with a bit of focus, I could do so much better for myself and set a much better example for my children.

The only thing that's setting me back from seeking an official diagnosis is the implications on things like life insurance/travel insurance etc. I know these incredibly minor things, but I'd love to know how others have found it to get insurances etc afterwards, plus anything else I may not have thought of?
