Mechanisms for countering inpusiness

I am constantly bouncing from one ‘impulsive outburst’ and it’s fall out to the next.

help me to slow my brain, thoughts, reactions down so I can stop communication with people when I’m in a ‘spin/meltdown’.

i have adhd and starting medication this week.

im realising that I need help to build up some mechanisms to help me manage my life and this is one of the things I struggle with as it effects the most emotionally….

I don't have any advice really, but wanted to say that meds will really help with this! I take Elvanse and the best effect it's had has been in stabilizing my moods, emotions and impulsivity - it's been life changing.

Ah thanks!
that is what I’m starting on this week. That’s great to hear.
how long have I been on them and what dose did y start on?

I've been on it for over a year now, started on 10mg and worked up to 50mg over about 4 months. I'd say it's been more effective in helping with moods and impulsivity, than it has been with productivity, although that's improved over time too.

What dose are you starting on? I hope it all works out for you!

I think it is 30mg but maybe I read it wrong

im so glad they settled well for u… and I’m hoping for some improvement with them. X
