i haven’t been on this board for a while, but I remember someone being (rightly) similarly upset by comments from uninformed mumsnetters (that person ended up leaving MN I think).

There was talk about hiding this board - but I’m not sure if MN HQ has done so?

Yes, there's another one today with someone seeking diagnosis and there's a bunch of posts claiming that ADHD doesn't even exist. Disgusting.

i just saw the thread you are referring to. My goodness!

It was nice to see a lot of sensible voices highlighting flaws in the ridiculous arguments of posters who believe that a medical condition which has been known about and studied for years doesn’t exist! I hope that those voices are the ones that people who see those threads remember.

I was diagnosed earlier this year, and have been comfortable telling a couple of people at work (including my incredibly supportive boss) and some trusted friends, but otherwise I’m not openly disclosing my ND because of the assumptions people may make….
