School WhatsApp groups

Do you join in? About 95% of what I post on there is ignored. If I'm lucky one person will reply. Basic questions about school stiff or maybe something topical locally that affects the community or events etc.
if I leave the group I'll have people ask me why but although I have it on mute it stresses me out with all the chumminess on there and the being ignored.
Do you find school things difficult too? Primary school that is. I won't go near the Facebook ones for secondary!

School ones N/A for me, but I refuse to go on work ones - I don't use it at all, though it did come as one of the default apps on my phone. I really couldn't cope with messages pinging in day and night. If I tell people I'm not on it, I get a funny look but they tend to accept it and not ask again.

I’m not on ours and I have no idea how I would get on it. Definitely exists as my Mrs is on it.

Groups stress me out a lot. I'm the one who just continues to post. Most of the messages is just me messaging.

Maybe I need to rethink my strategy

I really want to leave ours but it will draw attention to me. It's muted but I want to cut out the stressors in my life and WhatsApp groups are one of them. I just don't want to leave the group then have people ask me if I'm ok. It's back to school tomorrow and it will be all hours how are you did you have a nice summer what did you do did you go away and such questions that no one cares about the answer to. I just can't be bothered. My plan is to stay to the side and hide behind my sunglasses as normal. No one has bothered with meet ups over the summer so it's not like anyone is friends beyond the superficial school gates friendships.

I've read somewhere that WhatsApp no longer leaves a notification if you leave therefore not drawing attention to it x
