Yet another thread saying people who can't recognise your and you're on the active list are stupid 😭. Maybe I'm overtired, but they always say "dyslexia aside!" It's all bollocks!

How many times do we need to be bashed on mums net. We get enough at school/collage/work! I may not be able to use the correct word, but the message I want to get across is there.

Sorry, it's horrible.

Yep same. Sorry my brain not being able to get the rules about words that sound the exact same, where were there, you're etc offends people so much. 🙄
Pretty much ready to throw my phone away and go full hermit tbh.

Op did discount dyslexia so has some awareness, but the hostile environment that it creates for you when you are just trying to go about your day is horrible.

Mumsnet is full of ableism. That post on having another child after the first had autism was dire.

puddleduck234 · 03/07/2022 12:37

I missed that one @ofwarren. I'm tempted to ask but I'm sure it would upset me.

Thing is they always say "I'm aware of dyslexia bla bla bla!" But it's an invisible difficulty. It doesn't make it ok to add that sentence on. I don't go about telling anyone I'm dyslexic etc. so if I make a mistake I'm "lazy" in their eyes

Any post on here where its a bit difficult to understand, some posters just go off on one. They never consider that the person may have English as a second language, may be dyslexic or may have a learning disability.
The comments are like "are you drunk?"
Just awful really.
