More garden photos, my garden seems rather behind everyone else, but the tulips are prolific!

I planted a bowl up with a load of red flowers and plants on Friday so I now have a red area with the acer bloodgood (what a name😕)

And one of my many pots of heucheras - you can really only see the one (can't remember name, Caramel maybe? I have just treated for vine weevil, horrid things after finding a chomped tiarella - luckily enough was left to take several cuttings) pot also full of drumstick allium. Crab apple in huge pot behind.

I love that acer! 🥰 I tried to grow one, but my soil is clay and it died 😥

Barrow, I tell you, that acer must be cast iron given we are on newbuild soil and the garden company who planted as a favour for DP put next to no soil conditioning/mulch or extra compost in. Mine usually do best in pots in more shaded areas.

If it must go in the garden , dig in loads of well rotted hoss manure and compost to open the clay soil up and some grit for drainage if the soil is waterlogged in any way.
