Do you dislike people trying to share your food?

Omg, this makes me so mad 😠

If I get any McDonald's fries I always ask dh if he wants any and he always says "no thanks", but will then have one of mine when I get home 😬

Even if it's just ONE fry, I just can't stand it! 😖

I hate people touching my food or trying to share.

Anybody else like this?

With a burning burning passion.

Not sure it's the ADHD though. I think it was my father doing it without asking as a child. Although the burning rage and lack of being able to mask it is probably the ADHD.

Oh it really pisses me off. Get your fork out of my dinner!

I don’t mind meals too much. But I like eating treats by myself. I do not want to share my chocolate.

So I end up having to eat it secretly like an alcoholic because others see this as a fatal character flaw.

I eat secret chocolate in bed 😆

I don't think I'd be able to cope with one of those communal meals that some people have where you sit round and all muck in. I'd be like "get away from my food!"

I avoid tapas. Also curry with people who don't know me. Friends and family know and put up with it.

I’m fine with food that’s designed to be shared. But if it’s my food then hands off!

I hate people talking to me when I’m eating. I’ve been known to throw food away because the talking has “contaminated” it

Me too. I went to a tapas place once for some work thing - never again! Everyone else was raving about it but the things I wanted always seemed to be at the other end of the table and I couldn't concentrate or enjoy my food at all not really knowing what I was going to be able to get hold of and having to ask for things to be passed.

I don't like carveries or buffets either - just want my food to come on a plate with as little fuss as possible.

With the passion of 1000 suns. It's not that I'm not generous, I'm happy to buy you anything you want. But if you choose something different or nothing at all, Leave. My. Food. Alone. Angry

Yes. I used to struggle eating at pil's because there'd be so much talking. At Christmas dinner they'd talk so much about the food prior to eating it that It'd be practically cold by the time we were allowed to start. I hate seeing food just sitting there whilst we had to perform niceties over it 😫

I like communal meals/sharing food but I wouldn't like somebody depriving me of something that's mine and I only have a limited amount of. If I'm not going to eat it all then it wouldn't bother me at all.

Definitely! If we’re out & have a sharer starter etc, he’ll take way more than his share, it pisses me right off! He can’t see he’s doing anything wrong! I now tend to avoid!

Hate it, particularly with friends who want to order lots of dishes to share. Absolutely no way.
I will order my own and don't care what anyone thinks. It's a hygiene issue for me.
