Do you carry a handbag?

I've never liked carrying a bag. I feel so restricted having something in my hands when I'm out so I basically use my pockets to take my keys, money and mask.
If I need to carry more items, I will occasionally use a rucksack.

I don't know how women carry that heavy bag round with them all the time. What do they put in them??

Pockets for the win.

I HATE carrying a bag, I completely agree about it feeling restrictive. I’m otherwise very into fashion and love styling my own shoes and clothes. But yes, I’ll stick phone and keys in pockets and manage without anything else! Work bag is a rucksack as I need to carry laptops around.

I'm the same. It drives my DH mad but I keep everything in my pockets. I purposely choose coats and jackets with big pockets. A rucksack only if absolutely necessary.

I always carry one. I am very paranoid about losing things so I don't trust my pockets. It has to be a zipped one - I don't trust poppers, flaps or open 'tote' bags. I also won't put anything of value in a rucksack in case someone razors it. I use a cross-body bag so it can't easily be snatched.

Cant bear carrying bags (saying that I do own some for certain occasions) I have taken to buying mens jackets to give myself pockets.
It is my soap box issue. Anyone irl mentions this and I'm preaching at them. So annoyed that womens clothes have so few pockets.

I agree.

I don't trust pockets for anything other than tissues as things can fall out of pockets easily.

My bags must have a zip or a flap that can be secured. I don't like and would never use an 'open' bag. Cross body bags are great.

Rucksack, always.

Can't be bothered with handbags - I like both hands free, and I feel as though they unbalance me if they're carried on one shoulder.

(Also, I like to have potential space for snacks / interesting rocks / other stuff Grin)

fuck no.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 15/02/2022 21:47

No. Keys hang round neck and phone goes down bra top. I don't carry a purse or anything else. If I'm out for the day I'll take a small rucksack. I hate carrying things.

I use pockets or a back pack. I don't like having a shoulder bag because it feels wonky.
