I love nature and I'm always taking pictures of birds, trees, plants and animals 😃

I have post cards from kew Gardens next to my bed that make me very happy :)

• Watching my favourite tv programmes/ scenes in films a million times
• But I also enjoy visiting botanical gardens (mainly as I dislike dogs off the lead and in botanical gardens you don't have dogs running around)
• I also enjoy collecting stones from the beach.

So basically, my ideal evening is playing the games in my jammies whilst under a fluffy blanket with the cat on my lap, being a bit stoned! My anxieties melt away.

@BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation oh I'd forgotten how much I missed cats' tootsies and feet; my old lad died nearly ten years ago and I haven't been allowed a cat because of where we live.

I love the countryside,
the sea and swimming,
crafts - when I am relaxed I knit, bead, crochet, draw and I trained as a stonemason/carver
Shells and pebbles
gardening - my triffid orchids are on on the verge of opening so I will post some pictures anon
peace and quiet

@Mabelface we 'all be coming round yours!' - I'll bring my blanket but do you have enough cats to go round?

The school run makes me happy due to the things I see along the way. The moon, sunsets, flowers, Christmas trees and snow.

And cats. But they are not my cats so I won't post pictures of them unless I can get ones of just their paws. They are my go to when I am upset in any way.
And books. Books books and more books. And country music.

My children, my garden, cooking, embroidery, Star Trek, house plants, my bed!

My cats, my bed, cuddles from my daughters, my tv obsessions, many cups of tea and Toffypops.

I don't need anything else.

You'll have to bring your own 🐈 😂

@LilyRed could you go to visit a cat cafe to get a cat fix?

@BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation sadly not, the nearest one I think is either Edinburgh or Glasgow, and because of the epilepsy I cannot drive. I couldn't face the bus or train now as neither are direct.

I will have another cat(s) sooner or later...

Meanwhile I shall read and drink tea and go and watch the stars. Despite it being cloudy the last few years when we have had the meteor showers, we get the gloaming here in the summer so barely sunset and then noctilucent clouds - quite wonderful

I feel bad for not mentioning my 3 dc but they make me happy too. When ds charges towards me at pick up time and I spin him round, and when dd2 shuffles into the kitchen in a morning grumpy as anything and asks for a hug. Dd1 when she remembers that I'm not the evil bitch her dad says I am and wants hugs and cups of tea. Cats are much easier.

This guy is Koba a neighbours cat but he visits me daily

Some of my triffids, the first one is a brassia or some cross thereof, sometimes known as a spider orchid: I purchased it as a dedded one and suddenly this year it decided to flower.

The second is a variant of paphiopedilum 'American Beauty' aka slipper orchid. I picked it up a couple of years ago from the local nursery, it seems very easy to look after and the plant has three flowers this year, each the size of an apple and ugly as anything

Another happy thing. My ring, bought for me last year for mother's day by my then 12 year old son. He'd saved up his Christmas money to buy it for me.

My teenage ds1 once bought me a jar of beetroot for mothers day because he knew I liked beetroot 😆

I love my orchids! I discovered I have green fingers for the normal butterfly ones, but mostly kill anything fancier. However the big triffid lives on a cool east facing window in the kitchen and seems very happy. In an ideal world, I would have a botanical garden with hothouses and greenhouses... sigh.

eBay is good for orchids if you find the right seller, I think one of the best has a name like spicesexotic or something as I have bought various plants from her. It does seem though that houseplant shops on the high street are a thing at present and they may have some lovely things available. I am not allowed into my local one by DP as I will always spend money (although it is ok for him to buy bits for guitars costing HOW MUCH? ahem...) I shove new plants into my little mini-jungles as per picture

I can only grow spider plants and geraniums 😄
